On the App Store privacy labels I declare Data Not Collected for the Mac app. That matches what the app actually does.
Who I am
Everyday Guide is made by Recep Asmerdan. It is an offline reference: short USB and external-drive checklists that live on your Mac.
The Mac app — what is collected
The app does not collect personal data. It does not store personal data on my servers. It does not send personal data anywhere.
There is nothing to “use” because nothing leaves the device. Search text, which guide you open, and any ticks you imagine in your head stay on your Mac. The app does not read your files, disks, folders, contacts, photos, or location.
In particular, the app does not collect:
- Contact info (name, email, phone)
- Identifiers (user ID, device ID, advertising ID)
- Usage data or analytics
- Diagnostics or crash reports sent to me
- Purchases, location, health, browsing history, or search history off the device
There are no accounts, no sign-in, no tracking, and no advertising. The privacy manifest shipped with the app lists no collected data types and no tracking.
Network use
The app does not call home. The only network use is if you tap Get extra help or open Privacy Policy from the Help menu. Those open this site in Safari, outside the app. Safari is Apple’s browser. I don’t see what you did inside Everyday Guide.
This website
These pages are static. I don’t run analytics, ads, accounts, or a server-side contact inbox on this site.
- Checklist ticks on guide pages are saved only in your browser (local storage). They never leave your device unless you copy them yourself.
- Light/dark appearance is also saved only in your browser.
- The contact form is not posted to my servers. It opens your mail app to an address I publish on the Contact page, so you send the message yourself.
The company that hosts the files may keep ordinary web logs (for example an IP address, browser type, and which page was requested). I don’t use those logs to identify you, advertise, or build a profile. I don’t sell them.
Third parties
The Mac app does not include analytics tools, advertising networks, or other third-party SDKs that collect user data. I don’t share app user data with a parent company, subsidiary, or anyone else — there is no app user data to share.
If you open a link to Apple Support or another site from these pages, that site has its own policy. I don’t control it.
If you email me, your mail provider (and mine) will process that email the way they process any email. I don’t hand those messages to advertisers.
Retention and deletion
Because the Mac app does not collect personal data, there is no app data for me to keep or delete. Turning off or deleting Everyday Guide removes the app from your Mac. Browser local storage on this site can be cleared in your browser settings.
If you emailed me, I keep the message only so I can reply. I don’t use it for marketing. You can ask me to delete that correspondence and I will, unless I have to keep it for a short time to handle a dispute or a legal request.
There is no account, so there is no consent switch inside the app and nothing to revoke there. Stop using the app, or don’t email me, if you don’t want that contact.
To request deletion of an email you sent, use the Contact page and say so.
Children
Everyday Guide is a general reference (age 4+). It is not directed at children and it does not collect data from anyone, including children. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of this page. The App Store listing will keep pointing here.
